Like a Roller Coaster

I actually have things to catch up on this time, so it might not be as boring as usual!

Tylor is still working hard at school and has decided that after he gets his Associates Degree from Weber he is going to go to the police academy. He's going to be soo sick of school after that he might not even want to go to Recording Arts school! But thats still a few years off at least!

I got to watch my parents puppies a few weeks ago while they flew out to see my brother, Jeremy graduate from National Guard training and they were so much fun and i wanted to take them home! But my parents are selling them so, I had to leave.

I took my test to be a Registered Medical Assistant on October 2nd. And I passed with a 90 percent!! (you have to get a 70 to pass) I'm so happy I scored so well because I had been out of school for 6 weeks when I took it. So, this week will be 7 weeks since I took my test so my certificate should be here any day now!

We're still looking at apartments in the Layton Area and might even be getting a house with one of my brothers hopefully! It all depends on my next topic:

I applied at the Bountiful IHC and got an interview and I had such a good feeling about this job for some reason that I studied ALL WEEK! I admit, I studied more for this interview than I have ever studied for a test (even the AMT) and the interview went SO great! They said I would hear from them in about a week, but I got a call the next day to interview with the doctor. So I went in for that and the doctor was so nice! I felt so comfortable there and really felt like I belonged there. So I'm just waiting for the call!!

On Tuesday night, we found a little bunny in our backyard, he is so cute, so we made a little house for (since he wouldn't let me catch him) and left some food out there. He disappears during the day but always shows up at night so we decided he is our good luck rabbit.

Last week, Tylor's sister, Mariah and I went to volunteer at this thing one of my friends helps with called a Mock Disaster. They take you into a warehouse and put makeup on you and give you a role to play as victims in a mock natural disaster. So after you find a place to lay and scream for help, they send in the CERT team to find and rescue you so they can have some practice for real disasters. It was so fun, we laid on the ground and screamed for help while the lights flickered and then went out. After a while the crews came in to rescue us but we had to keep in character so they took us out in stretchers and bandaged us up in the triage area. Mariah's injury was an impalement on her leg and forehead, and I had third degree burns on my face, neck and arm. It was so much fun and I can't wait to do it again!

Also, my best friend and sister-in-law, Kathryn got remarried last week to a great guy and the wedding was beautiful, the only catch was the guy she married has 4 boys, so they have 6 kids altogether! There is one for each year from 5 to 10. So, Zack is 5, Katelyn 6, Skylar 7, Ian 8, Brody 9, and Seth 10. Tylor and I offered to sit at the kids table to help keep them behaved and it was out of control! After Kathryn and Thomas danced together all the kids got on the stage and danced with blown up pool toys shaped like guitars and microphones, it was super cute. I know Kathryn will be so happy but I told her she has to make an excuse to come visit me now that she lives in even further away from us. Until next time!

One Step Down, 500 More To Go

Okay, well it’s obviously been a while but now that I know someone is actually reading this, I guess I will try a little harder to keep up on it (Thanks Ashley!)

I finished my externship at Ogden Clinic and I absolutely LOVED it. The people I worked with were so great and I learned a TON! I was so nervous my first day but before I knew it I was doing vitals, then I was rooming patients, and in a flash I was giving shots, making appointments, and even removing sutures ALONE! Some of my favorite things to do were assist with the minor surgeries we had some ingrown toenails, MRSA cysts, and sutures.
I felt like I could work there forever but before I knew it,  it was over, and I made a lot of friends there that I will miss but hopefully I can find a place at Ogden Clinic to work. I have been applying anywhere I can because 5 years in fast food is just too long for me! I’ll be graduating October 29th and hopefully have a job by then since I have been out of school for 7 weeks now.

Tylor is doing great in school and has almost all A’s. He is planning on going to Weber State fall semester of next year after graduation to get his Associate’s degree while I go into Nursing. He is super excited to graduate and is counting down the days. He has taken some time off of work to focus on school and loves having some free time (finally).

I put up some new songs that we like to jam to in the car together so enjoy! Our 2 year anniversary is next Friday and we were hoping to have a fun date planned, but going to school doesn’t exactly save you money. So it will probably be one spent at home like last year. But as long as we are together it will be great! We can’t believe it has been 2 years already and before we know it we will be married and starting our family.
Until next time!

Tylor and Brianna: Episode I - Conquering the World

This might be the happiest blog I have posted in a long time, YAY!

Tylor registered today to finish up his senior year and got his schedule. He will be taking two Math classes, Guitar, Symphonic Band, English, Physics, Gold’s Gym, and Digital Media.

He is SO excited to finish up and I am very proud of him for working so hard to get where he is today. It kills me to see him excited because he used to dread going to school, but I am so happy that he is excited now! We started doing some school shopping for him, and his wonderful dad is helping us, we are so grateful to have our dads in our lives! He is still working ALOT but hopefully he won’t have to soon. :)

Brianna I just finished my CNA program and finished up my clinicals today. We went to Pine View Transitional Rehab in South Ogden and it was so great! The people there are so great and the patients were fantastic! I have to admit, even though I was only there for 4 days, I felt a little sad about leaving them, because they were all so sweet and I got to know them pretty well.

I had an interview last week at Ogden Clinic for my Medical Assisting externship, and they only picked one person from my class...ME! I am SO excited! I start on August 16th and there is even someone that used to go to my school that works there so hopefully I can work with her! My awesome sister in law gave me some of her old scrubs to wear for it and I just can't believe I am finally here! I thought I would never make it because I was stressing so horribly about work and school but I did it! And it's finally paying off! I am so grateful that we are where we are in life right now!

It's times like these that we really stop to think about how amazing life is. How things can work out, and you don’t even know it yet...it's just so crazy I can’t even begin to describe how I feel. I am just so overjoyed at how Heavenly Father is helping us with everything and helping us realize our true potential.

One Year, Nine Months!!!!

Today, Tylor and I have been together for one entire year and nine months!!! And it has gone by so fast!! So, I have been thinking about all that has happened the whole time we have been together…

Months 1-4 (October-February): Tylor and I are completely in love and can barely be without each other. Our first date was great! And when we went out for my 18th birthday we had a blast! And for Valentine’s Day he went all out.

He gave me a huge gift bag, complete with body washes, chocolate, a glass rose, more chocolate, a beautiful card, a teddy bear, a manicure kit…the works! All topped off with a bouquet of 13 balloons.

Months 5-7 (March-May): We are living together by now, (how we got there is another story, for another time) and we are learning how to be smart with our money, and to not drive each other CRAZY, we loved staying up late playing video games and going out together, even just to walk around a store we had no money to spend in.

Months 8-12 (June-October): I graduated high school, with my sweetheart there to support me every step of the way. We spent the summer together and had TONS of fun! We went swimming, to the arcade, bought new books and read together, and got buy one get one free snow cones almost every day. I applied for school and Tylor started his junior year. Our one year anniversary was spent at home and we had fun playing games and watching movies. And Tylor turned 17 on October 30th.

One Year-Now (November-July): We had our second Christmas together and I turned 19. Tylor worked his little butt off and finished up his junior year and began working at his old job. He works hard to support us and I appreciate him more and more every day. He found a college he wants to go to and we are preparing to move sometime in the next 2 years.

I quit my old job and started at a new one. I am still in school and will graduate in October as a Registered Medical Assistant, Registered Phlebotomy Technician, and a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Overall, it has been the best year and nine months of my life! (And hopefully his too!) But, that’s not to say we didn’t have some hard times to work through because we have had more than our fair share, but the only thing that matters is that we have gotten through it and we are still getting through it, and that we are doing it together, and that’s what really matters.

Our Mission

Tylor decided that it would be a better choice for us not to move to Florida, because he found an even better school in Arizona! YAY! He has now applied for the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences (CRAS) We are looking forward to moving there and it's not quite as scary as moving across the country :) He will be starting his Senior year this fall and he is as excited as ever to graduate!

As for me, I am almost done with school for Medical Assisting, so for the next 6 weeks I will be going to school from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to also finish the Certified Nursing Assistant program so that I will be done with both in 6 weeks just in time for my extern ship.

So, we just keep moving along, despite all those against us, because WE know we are going to make it and no one can stop us!!

Life can never be easy, nor can it ever go according to plan

I love how you can go along with a plan in mind..and it never works out...NEVER. It's so frustrating and I'm sick of it.
I'm sick of people being rude to you for no reason whatsoever, I'm tired of being treated like a child. Because I am NOT a child and I'm a lot stronger than people think I am. I'm not some spoiled brat who got everything she wanted her entire life, and I REFUSE to be treated like one any longer.
I know what I want in life and I'm willing to work for it. No one can stop me now.

I can see clearly now..the glass is gone!

So..today I finally got my new set of contacts..and after almost a year without them i had to deal with the new, "I can feel something on my eye" feeling all over again. It was weird wearing them the rest of the night especially because i thought more people would notice, and they really didn't. But, oh well, because I'm happy! I love that i can look around with only my eyes and not have to turn my head along with my eyes to be able to see what I'm looking at. Tylor paid for them because he knows how much i have been wanting them and even bought me new eye makeup because i haven't been wearing a lot because with glasses you can't really tell if I am or not. Afterward, he took me to lunch and we went our separate ways to work. We had a great day! Thanks babe!

Babies Galore...

I got to see my new nephew this weekend and he is so beautiful! I got to hold him almost all night and it was great to see my family again. I've missed them all so much. Also, my friend had her baby shower and I made her a diaper cake, and we gave her a few things that she will need because we figured she would be getting a lot of clothes. I can't wait for her to have her baby! I am going to try to see if I can visit my nephew next weekend too! His name is Mason Ricks Wilson and he was 6 lbs. when he was born and perfect! well, that's all for now.. Have a great day!

Red Rose Apologies and Silver Lined Thank-You Notes

I'd like to take some time and make some apologies. I recently wrote a letter to my mom apologizing for some things from the past, and I think everyone deserves apologies sometimes. So, first of all, I want to apologize for the fact that I don't keep in touch...with anyone. I say it's because I don't really have a lot of time and that's because I really don’t have a lot of time, at all. I am busy with work, school, babysitting, sleep, and pretty much trying to keep my head on straight. I stress myself out way too much and it gives me less and less time to do the things that matter most in life.

So I’m sorry that I never talk to anyone, I never call people and rarely text them unless I they text first. I usually never reply to any e-mails, or Facebook things, because I am in a hurry of there is way too much to catch up on and it makes me tired even thinking about it.

I’m also sorry that if I do talk to anyone, it seems like I don’t want to be talking to them. Because I do, I just don’t know what to say...ever. I need to work on those social skills :) I’m sorry to anyone that I have ever hurt, in any way. Whether it was verbally or physically, whether we are still close or not, I’m sorry.

And I’m sorry to my family. I missed my new nephew’s birth because I was at work and I cried because it was my brother’s first baby and I have never missed a birth. I was so upset at myself, even though it wasn’t my fault, because I feel like I’m growing so far from the ones I need the most. I love everyone that I have ever had in my life, because no matter the experience I had with them, I learned something. I’m not regretting anything I’m just sorry for things. I don’t really have regrets because if it weren’t for the trials in my life I would never be the person that I am today.

And I want, also, to say thank you, to everyone in my life for your impact, your help, your love, everything. Especially to Tylor, because he helps me through things I can barely get through and listens to me cry over nothing. I love you, Tylor.

I’m sorry if this blog wasn’t as upbeat and exciting as usual. But it’s not really an upbeat and exciting day either :)

The Dirty Thing Called the Internet

So I've been online looking for apartments to move into in October and it’s more stressful than I thought it would be. While I still have six months to decide, I still need to find SOMETHING that fits what I'm looking for! It’s so ridiculous how full of crap the Internet is because you tell the search exactly what kind of apartment you're looking for and they give you a bunch of selections and when you find one you love, it doesn’t even have what you wanted, or where you wanted it. Is it really that difficult for a search filter to do what it is supposed to do? FILTER?! It's so bothersome that nearly every website you visit you have to put in your e-mail address to even look at what you want, and then you have to get a new e-mail address so that you dont ahve a bunch of spam going to your family inbox. Eventually causing everyone to take longer and longer on the Internet checking each of their spam encrusted e-mails before they can even do the business they came to do!
So, maybe I should take a break from it for a few days. We have also been looking at furniture; because I’m sure once we move in we will be sitting on the floor for a while :) Hopefully we will have enough saved up by October to buy a little furniture and still enough to move in! Maybe a few weeks beforehand, we will have to take a mini road trip down to Ikea to check it out.
Well, thanks for reading the raving antics :)

Always bring matches and Lighter Fluid

Well, there isn't much to brag about this weekend. We both worked every night except Sunday, and every morning I tried to sleep in a couple of hours, but apparently no one knows how to keep quiet when people are asleep, but I should be grateful we can even get sleep at night because when we have kids, it probably wont happen for a few more years :)

On Saturday night, Tylor bought his DSi that he has been wanting, along with his Pokemon game after scrounging up enough change to make up for tax.

On Sunday morning, Tylor's dad took us out to breakfast with his sister. It was really nice because we haven't seen him for a while and he has been having some problems lately, so it was nice to see that he doing alright. For the rest of the day, we pretty much stayed home, until it got dark and a few of our friends had planned to go the park and roast marshmallows around the fire pit.

Out of the 10 that had planned on coming, only 4 of us ended up staying, only after we showed up with no means to start the fire, and two of them left to get matches and only one came back. So we sat around the fire and roasted marshmallows over a fire that had to be probed every few seconds to keep going, and chatted about how you lose contact with nearly your entire senior class after graduation. After about 2 and a half hours, we decided to head home and that was our weekend.

There's a Place and a Time for Hope and for Love

Well, I suppose it's time for a new post. I read my cousin's blog and realized that she and I think a lot alike...we don't really think to blog unless something exciting happens! So, I decided to try to blog more often because people are trying to keep caught up with us and because I need at least 3 journal entries a week for English class!
Tylor has been working hard at work and has had quite a bit of responsibility put on him being Assistant Manager, some days he has to go in a few hours early and next week he has to work a 12 hour shift! He is still getting further ahead on credits and thinking about going to the DATC this summer for a fun elective, he is thinking about doing cooking because he loves to cook for me. :)

The best part is, he will be going to Layton High for his senior year in August! He is so excited to graduate and see his name on the diploma; he would love to have his dad see him graduate because that’s all he has ever wanted for Tylor.
As for me, I'm still trudging my way through school. I love it, but I just wish that I was done already! I got on the President's list last term for another 4.0, and there are only 3 weeks left in this term and I can start with the blood! I love my new job and I found out I actually work with my cousin on my dad's side! So far, I have more days than I was getting at the old nasty place I used to work at. I love the people I work with and pretty much everything about the job, it was definitely a good thing for me.

One of our closest friends is pregnant and she is due in April, we are so excited to help them with their baby. They have decided not to find out the sex, so we are trying our best to find neutral gifts for them. Also, my brother's new wife is pregnant and ALSO due in April. They have had a few close calls and she is so close they said she could go into labor any day now. So we're just waiting for the phone call for our FOURTH nephew to come into this world! We are so excited and I can't believe my brother is going to be a daddy, he is still the guy who was all about car stereos to me...I know he will be a great dad.

Other than that, things are just as crazy as usual. We are busy juggling our relationship with school, work, bills, and trying to save up for an apartment in October! And with all the crazy plans and schedules it's hard to find any time for anything else, even family. It's all really stressful, but it's easier as long as we can come home to each other and help each other through it all.

Our New Year Begins!

Tylor is further ahead in school than he needs to be and thank goodness! He can finally relax a little bit and take a break. He is really excited for senior year coming up and hopefully it will be a good one for him. He has even begun working on his classes so he will be ahead. He is doing great at work also, but is not particularly looking forward to me working as a Medical Assistant while he is in school and he can't work as much to contribute :)

I got my grades from last term today..4.0!!!
woo! I'm so happy! I worked really hard for it and I'm so grateful it was worth it. I also had a job interview yesterday and
I GOT THE JOB!!
We have been doing great and are working hard to reach our goals. We work great together and have a lot of fun watching movies together late at night before bed because that's practically all the time we get together with all the mayhem lately. But things are really looking up and we are super excited for what lies in store for us this year. We began this year with the determination to make it better than last year, and so far, we're making it happen!

Work, Work, Work...and MORE work.

It begins...

In the past couple days, we have been checking out all the details of Full Sail University. The school sent Tylor two more thick brochures, one of which, was a housing guide. Now that I have become more accustomed to the fact, my planning side began to come out :)

So while Tylor was busy oogling the programs offered brochure, I began marking the few apartments that I would approve of, I have found 2 that I absolutely LOVE! Both pretty much have the same amenities, including pools, fitness centers, walk-in closets etc. BUT the only difference is..
PRICE
(of course)
and the more expensive one has a fireplace a screened in patio AND a built-in bookshelf! tough choice.

After I had narrowed it down to these 2 choices out of the original 10 that I had had, I began the virtual tours, which were BEAUTIFUL! I even went to MapQuest and planned the trip, how much gas will be, and even set our rest stops to be in Aurora, Nebraska and Antioch, Tennessee. It is a 34 hr. and 40 min, drive if we don't stop, with a total of
2,315.30 miles!

I also found about 6 clinics within 4 miles of the apartments and the University that i could work at, one only requires BLS certification, which I already have, and certification by either the AAMA or the AMT, which is what tests I will have to pass in order to graduate! It seems like this is how everything should be going.

Tylor has been working hard, as usual. He is ahead in school and is doing great in his studies. I am so proud of him and all that he has accomplished this year so far. He is going to school, working, and dealing with me on top of it all! He is amazing.

This year, my New Year's Resolution was to lose weight, so far I have lost 6 pounds, and still going strong! I just finished up my second term yesterday and i am so grateful for the week break before I go back. but only one more term until labs!
Also, yesterday, i got to go to Logan and visit my very best friend, Deborah McBride! It was SO much fun, especially finding the place ;). I missed her so much! We had great fun catching up on yearbook news and what had happened in the past year and everything. She has a wonderful boyfriend, Christian, who is so sweet to her and I am so happy for her, they were so cute together and I wish I could visit more often. She is so much fun, especially when we talk about things that are only exciting to us because no one else gets it!

Oh what fun it is to find a college to go to!

"Growing up too fast.."
I am about to finish up my second term at school and I am so excited, because after my third term, I get to start labs! I got a 4.0 first term and hope to this term also. :)

Now, while Tylor is still in high school and just finishing up, he had decided that he was going to school for the recording arts in Emeryville, California, so our plan was to move there around next August. Until, the Internet introduced Tylor to the "best school in the country for recording arts" in Orlando, Florida.

And I thought California was far enough away! He has called the school multiple times figuring out all the details and....that's where i will be going around next Autumn. I'm nervous but he has his passion, and I know nothing will stop him.

Also, something new, our second car, a 1991 Toyota Camry, has just blown the transmission, so we now have a 1987 Mercury Cougar. Yes, I know, we don't seem to be moving up do we? But, it actually runs better than both of our previous cars. Amazing as it may be..

Some more good news, Tylor got promoted to Assistant Manager at his work. It's called Kim Long Vietnamese Cuisine, and he loves it there, he is doing a great job.
